The writing/editing function of XR-RIS manage offers a clearly structured procedure in findings report preparation.
coordinated working
Secretaries can sort your writing list, upon which all findings reports not yet written are displayed, by patient name, physician or time limit and thus proceed in a coordinated way. Deadlines assigned are thus visible for findings report preparation and also report writing and can be flagged by colour.
On selection of the patient, the word processing and speech recognition used with XR-RIS speech can automatically open the correct dictation file. Using the customary foot pedal, the dictation can be monitored in digital quality and the findings report manually transcribed.
Speech recognition used in connection with XR-RIS speech [1] also permits the structured processing of findings reports except that these no longer have to be written but just the speech-recognised text edited.
spellchecking, template and norm findings reports
As XR-RIS manage uses Microsoft Word (TM) for Windows. The complete spellchecking function for German is available and which analyses the text, identifies spelling errors and suggests alternatives.
The possibility also exists of constructing a custom dictionary with specialist medical vocabulary and changing/expanding it at any time, or by using a medical dictionary on CD-ROM.
Template findings reports and other text elements can be freely defined and easily saved and changed at any time by format (i.e. headline bold, result underlined etc.). There are no restrictions in terms of the number of characters or pages.

comfortable findings report validation
XR-RIS manage has it own tool, the findings report editing list. It provides systematic processing of findings report that require editing or validation. The findings report editing list shows all findings reports that are not yet edited, but already written or recorded by speech recognition.
If you click on list entry, the findings report opens and the physician or secretary has the opportunity of making any changes required. Apart from that, it is possible to electronically sign findings reports with an electronic signature. Thereafter the findings report is closed and thereby validated; it can only then be released or electronically transmitted.
