XR-PACS sono is a software application by means of which connection to any ultrasound device can be established. Sonography images are exposed via the PC, administered, saved and printed. The examinations are documented onto normal A4 paper rather than film or thermographic paper.
the most cost-efficient image documentation
Image documentation can be prepared in greyscale or colour. The printing of images is performed on conventional i.e. extremely favourable printing paper in a printing quality of at least 600 x 600 dpi. An A4 greyscale printout with a maximum of 24 images costs a maximum of 6.5 cents per sheet, including toner consumption.
In order to facilitate even more favourable ultrasound image documentation, XR-PACS sono features well thought-out inversion logic. This means that black and greyscale values that are not required are inverted, or not printed, providing a toner saving of up to 30%.

fast and efficient examination
As many sonographic images as required can be "photographed" by the ultrasound device and saved, using footswitch or mouse control. During the examination process itself it is not necessary generate freeze frames as they are no longer required. XR-PACS sono is so rapid that you can perform documentation during examination.
XR-PACS sono also offer you a range of further image processing options. You can highlight pathology by enlarging it, making diverse measurements or e.g. deleting less meaningful images.
Using a B/W or colour laser printer, you can prepare a printout of the patient and examination data together with the letterhead of your practice. You have the facility of being able to choose between several printing variations (portrait or landscape, enlarged printouts, 8, 16, or 24 images). Sonography images can also be integrated into the findings report where required.
simple and user-friendly
In connection with our X-ray information system XR-RIS manage, XR-PACS sono offers a linked task list. This indicates patients that have already been registered in the patient and examination data. The name of the patient is selected and the documentation performed. This avoids the double entry of patient and examination data.
If XR-PACS sono is not used as a component part of XR-RIS manage, it can be used as a standalone product, whereby data capture is the performed by XR-PACS sono directly at the workplace.
