XR-RIS speech record is a replacement for magnetic tape. The computer performs the recording of dictation digitally and the writing is done by conventional manual methods.

XR-RIS speech record helps you to avoid double tracking, incorrect findings report allocations and mix-ups, as well as unnecessary kilometres carrying written material to and fro in your practice. Even the dictation by several doctors of the same findings report is possible without problems.
The use of available EDP resources saves additional investment. The expensive maintenance of tape machines and their accessories becomes a thing of the past.
simple operation
Following selection of the patient, XR-RIS speech record is automatically ready to receive your dictation. The actual speech recording is done using the Philips SpeechMike(TM). A one-hand operation device, similar to a Dictaphone.
This offers ease of operation (forward/reverse, listening etc.) mouse button control, a trackball and additional function buttons, with which dictation can be started and stopped. Listening to dictation is possible using a loudspeaker built in to the SpeechMike or in digital quality, via loudspeakers.
Digital dictation is possible at the pre-findings stage overview of XR-RIS manage as well as using the image findings report soft XR-PACS vision. In both working environments, the operating elements and indicators of XR-RIS speech record are directly integrated; no change of mask is required.

XR-RIS speech record offer a clearly structured operating procedure. Thus, for example, there is the facility of marking urgent findings reports with a deadline or acute flagging in order to have them written immediately.
This enables the secretary to sort her writing list, upon which all findings reports are displayed that are yet to be written, by patient name or time limit, be able to work in a coordinated manner. When selecting a patient, the text processor and the correct dictation are opened. Using the customary foot pedal, the dictation can be listened to and the findings report manually transcribed.
XR-RIS speech record can also be used for calculating working hours and for evaluations. On the basis of digitally generated dictation, it can be traced how many findings reports have, for example, been written by a locum.
