XR-RIS speech makes it possible to convert dictated speech fully automatically into text. The time-consuming transcription and the manual authoring of finding reports are no longer required at all. Carrying written material to and fro, typing, submission and the manual signature of findings reports are no longer necessary.
The physician either dictates as usual: instead of the tapes being passed to a secretary the spoken word is automatically converted to findings report text. Thereafter the findings report just needs to be edited. The editing and validating does not have to be performed by the physician dictating.
Alternatively, the physician can use online voice recognition, in which case editing is performed in one work process, together with dictation. This facilitates the immediate release of a finding report as a special patient service, particularly in the case of examinations performed by the physician himself (e.g. sonographies, mammographies etc.).
